Warranties & Returns

We are committed to making sure you are satisfied with our products. Your order is inspected prior to shipment to ensure all items are in excellent condition before they are shipped. All products purchased though HSE are warranted by the manufacture, if applicable. Contact us for manufacture warranty information, if applicable on any products for sale on our website. All warranty claims must be return to the manufacture.

DEFECTIVE RETURNS

If the item you wish to return is inoperable, but has no apparent damage, it is considered defective. All defective merchandise must be returned directly to the manufacturer for warranty repair or replacement. Manufacturer defects found after the product has been used revert to the manufacturer’s warranty (a copy of which can be obtained upon customer request) and they will handle any problems for you directly. Products sold by HSE are warranted through the manufacturer, not through HSE. The preferred method of exchange is for you to contact the manufacturer to be sure that you have set up the product properly and that it is really defective. If the manufacturer decides that the product is defective, usually the manufacturer will pay for the shipping of the defective product back to them and they will pay for the shipping of a replacement product to you. If you decide to ship the product to HSE instead, we can be the intermediary, though you must pay for shipping to HSE, and pay for shipping from HSE to the manufacturer. This will also take much more time to be resolved. You will receive the product replaced or repaired from the manufacturer.

If you need the part replaced right away, you must contact the manufacturer and work something out with them. HSE can sell you a new part and ship it right away, but we must charge you for the part and shipping, and we cannot give a refund on the returned part. HSE does not offer refunds on malfunctioning parts.

If the item is of the HSE brand we will give you the advertised guarantee for the particular product, and will replace it for the same (we will decide if the item will be repaired or new) or similar item if we don’t have the same item available within a reasonable amount of time. No refund will be given in any case. If the item is brand new and inoperable contact us within 30 days to be able to offer you free shipping back and forth to obtain your replacement. If the item is shipped back to us after 30 days or has been used, the customer is responsible for shipping costs back and forth. If the item shows signs of abuse, misuse or intended or unintended damage, we will not replace or refund your money in any case. All returns to HSE must have a Material Return Authorization Number.

RETURNS OF DAMAGED ITEMS

Although our products are packaged securely to prevent any damage it’s possible that in rare cases, damages may occur during shipment. If the box is shows any visible damage, you must note it on the paperwork before signing and accepting it from the delivery service company. And, inform us of any items damaged during shipping within 7 days of receipt. After this period we will not offer exchanges. Damaged merchandise includes items that have been damaged in shipping. Save ALL packaging material and paperwork; do not throw anything away! Contact us and let us take care of the UPS claim. We will ask you to provide pictures of box and parts to help us determine the damage and help us with the claim process. If you attempt to return the merchandise yourself, you will jeopardize our chances of making a claim, and you may not receive credit for the return. Usually after contacting us and providing pictures of damage, we will replace your part as soon as UPS gets all the information and starts processing it, as long as the part is in stock.

If your item has a MINOR blemish that does not compromise its function and can be easily repaired by you, please contact us. We might offer you a small store credit for a future purchase if you keep the item and repair it yourself. If you decide not to accept this offer, you can return the part to us at your expense.

Large aircrafts shipped via Freight companies have different insurance policies than UPS or FedEx. If your aircraft is being shipped via freight company because of its size we ask that the customer, or a responsible adult be present at time of delivery to open the box. Before signing for the shipment inspect the carton and contents. You should have a knife on hand to help open the carton. Should you notice any damage, please note it on the bill of lading, refuse the shipment and contact us immediately. You will also have to contact the freight company DIRECTLY within 7 days of the delivery.

NOTE: We cannot be held responsible for the cost of repairs or replacement of damaged items if there is no notation on the Freight Bill of Lading. If you are unable to inspect the contents at the time of delivery, make a notation on the lading that there appears to be some damage to the contents and that you were not able to inspect the contents before signing. You then have 7 days to initiate a damage claim directly with the freight company.

BATTERIES

We thoroughly test each battery before shipping to our customers. If for ANY reason you are not satisfied with a battery purchased from us, please contact us immediately. DO NOT return the battery. Lithium ion batteries identified as being defective for safety reasons, that have been damaged or have the potential of producing a dangerous evolution of heat, fire or short circuit are forbidden for transport (e.g. those being returned to the manufacturer for safety reasons).

If for any reason you suspect your battery is defective, please put it in a safe cool place where it would not be able to damage any property or individuals in case of excessive heat or fire, and contact us immediately. If you ordered the wrong battery or changed your mind, please do not ship the battery back to us. We will not be able to give you a refund or store credit unfortunately.

The rules governing the transportation of lithium ion batteries are divided into slightly differing regulations in the United States and outside the United States. Because of Lithium Ion Batteries being considered Dangerous Goods, HSE will not accept ANY battery returned for any reason. All our personnel involved in battery processing and shipping are HazMat Certified. We follow all UN regulations for your safety and the safety of all the people involved during the shipping process. For all shipments, it is required that any person preparing or offering lithium ion cells or batteries for transport receive adequate instruction on these requirements commensurate with their responsibilities. For this reason HSE recommends that any person involved in the preparation and transport of these products be Dangerous Goods/ Hazardous Materials trained.

Products sold by HSE are warranted through the manufacturer, not through HSE. All manufacture warranties are between the customer and the manufacture. Manufacture warranties gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
