Industry experts plan the future of unmanned aerial spraying

Homeland Surveillance & Electronics, LLC (HSE-UAV) a veteran owned, full service UAV company, together with U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA, ARS) and other subject-matter experts met for a 3-day Aerial Spray Conference focused on the expansion and integration of unmanned spraying systems.
The workshop was created and hosted by both Dan Martin, Ph.D., Research Engineer with USDA Aerial Application Technology Research and Wayne Woldt, Ph.D., P.E., Associate Professor at University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
The workshop was created to bring together representatives of chemical companies, research institutions / universities, environmental and aviation regulators, aircraft manufacturers & distributors, spray equipment manufacturers and endusers. This was the first conference of its kind where attendees shared their unique perspective and partook in open discussion about the future, concerns, and needs of the industry. Some of the attendees included: UC Davis, WSU, FAA (FSDO and HQ), Syngenta, RiceTec, NDSU, NAAA, Teejet, Yamaha, DowDuPont and more.
